As a Freight Operations Executive at Pragmatic Core, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods for our clients. You will be responsible for managing the logistics, documentation, and coordination of freight shipments, optimizing processes, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Outline:
- Days: 5 days a week (Mon-Fri)
- Probationary Period: 3 months
- Working Hours: US – East Coast Standard Working Hours (Adaptive to Day Light Saving)
Requirements:
- Strong background in forwarding/logistics.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Dedicated to providing high levels of customer service.
- Team player.
- Robust time-management and organizational skills.
- Confident and articulate communicator.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Proficient in using MS Office.
- Knowledge of Logistics software and ERP systems would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Client coordination and liaison for future import plans.
- Correspondence with customer and shipping line for payment/invoicing.
- Ensuring perfect and timely execution of all required data processing through the Back office e.g. internal data processing, Custom Clearance: Submission ISF, Telex releases, ACE release.
- Processing shipping line releases.
- Terminal handling: clearing of CTF & TMF charges.
- Booking Port-Pickup/Terminal appointment with Truckers for FCL/LCL load deliveries.
- Client coordination for a delivery plan.
- Liaison with Warehouse/Labeling service to manage Transload deliveries or arrange labeling & pelletizing service for accurate load distribution.
- Arrangement of export booking with shipping line.
- Arranging relevant trucking for HAZMAT / Refer / LCL/ FCL / TLT / FTL commodities.
- Rail billing of containers with shipping instructions in case of rail shipments.
- Timely In-gating of loaded container within ERD & Cutoff date given by shipping line.
- Declaring of B-13 Form (If needed).
- Communicating (S.I) Shipping instructions to shipping lines – prior to In-gating.
- Generating Export Documents (B.O.L / Doc receipts / Deliver order etc.)
- Resolving implications with containers on hold.
- Resolving issues with demurrage and other charges e.g. Perdiem Charges.
- Sorting out Shipment Status reports and updating internal records as well as clients, regarding the latest events or inquiries.
- Coordinating and resolving any challenges related to LCL & FCL load for Refer/Dry-Van/Hazmat.
- Provide training and guidance to associates on best practices, related to freight operations.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for unforeseen events that may disrupt freight operations, ensuring minimal impact on clients.
- Manage cross-border shipping processes, including customs clearance and documentation for international shipments.
- Maintain After-hour correspondence for fulfillment.
- Maintain End-to-end shipment and clearance and delivery process.
- Achieve growth key performance indicators (KPIs) issued by HR.
- Compete weekly learning objectives

To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to skill set; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations.
